# Rules

<details>

<summary>What are the rules?</summary>

HyperPNL uses a simple and transparent rule set.

The core rules are:

* Profit Target
* Maximum Drawdown
* Maximum Daily Drawdown
* Minimum Profitable Days (2-Phase only)

These rules are publicly documented and apply equally to all traders.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Are there any hidden rules?</summary>

No.

HyperPNL only enforces the rules published in its official documentation.

There are:

* No consistency rules
* No maximum risk-per-trade rules
* No hidden objectives
* No discretionary evaluation criteria

If a rule is not documented, it is not enforced.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Are there consistency rules?</summary>

No.

HyperPNL does not enforce any consistency rules.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is copy trading allowed?</summary>

No.

Copy trading is not permitted on HyperPNL evaluation or funded accounts.

Accounts found using copy trading services may be restricted or terminated automatically by system.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is hedging allowed?</summary>

No.

Hedging between multiple HyperPNL accounts or coordinated hedging strategies designed to bypass platform rules are prohibited.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I have multiple accounts?</summary>

No.

HyperPNL does not allow traders to hold multiple accounts.

Each trader may only operate a single account and must comply with all platform rules.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Is news trading allowed?</summary>

Yes.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I hold trades overnight?</summary>

Yes.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I hold trades over the weekend?</summary>

Yes.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the difference between balance and equity?</summary>

Balance is your account value after all closed trades.

Balance does not change while positions remain open.

Equity is your real-time account value and includes both your balance and any unrealized profit or loss from open positions.

HyperPNL evaluates both balance and equity when determining rule compliance.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the profit target?</summary>

The profit target is the amount of profit required to pass an evaluation phase.

2-Phase Challenge:

* Phase 1: 10%
* Phase 2: 5%

1-Step Challenge:

* Phase 1: 10%

Profit targets are calculated using the account's initial balance.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What happens when I reach the profit target?</summary>

Once your equity reaches the required profit target and all other evaluation requirements have been satisfied, HyperPNL automatically closes all open positions.

The account is then automatically promoted to the next phase or funded status.

No manual action is required.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the maximum drawdown rule?</summary>

The maximum drawdown rule limits how much your account can lose from its initial balance.

* 2-Phase Challenge: 9% static maximum drawdown
* 1-Step Challenge: 5% static maximum drawdown

For example on a $100,000 account:

* 2-Phase: account fails if balance or equity falls below $91,000
* 1-Step: account fails if balance or equity falls below $95,000

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is the maximum daily drawdown rule?</summary>

The maximum daily drawdown limits how much your account can lose during a single trading day.

* 2-Phase Challenge: 5% daily drawdown limit
* 1-Step Challenge: 3% daily drawdown limit

The daily drawdown is recalculated every day at 00:00 UTC based on your account equity at that moment. The limit remains fixed throughout the day and updates again at the next daily reset.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How is maximum daily drawdown calculated?</summary>

At 00:00 UTC each day, HyperPNL records your account equity and uses it as the reference point for that day's drawdown calculation.

Example:

* Equity at reset: $103,000
* Daily Drawdown Limit: 5%
* Maximum Daily Loss: $5,150

Your balance or equity must remain above $97,850 throughout that day.

</details>

<details>

<summary>What is a profitable day?</summary>

A profitable day is a trading day during which your total profit, after trading fees have been deducted, reaches at least 0.5% of the account's initial balance.

Examples:

* $10,000 account → $50 threshold
* $100,000 account → $500 threshold

Both realized and unrealized profit may contribute toward reaching this threshold.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How many profitable days are required?</summary>

1-Step Challenge:

* No minimum profitable day requirement

2-Phase Challenge:

* Phase 1: 2 profitable days
* Phase 2: 3 profitable days

Funded accounts do not have a profitable day requirement.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Do open positions count toward profitable days?</summary>

Only fully closed positions count toward profitable days.

Partial closes do not count. A position must be completely closed before its profit is included in the profitable day calculation, and the entire profit is assigned to the day on which the position is fully closed.

For example, if your account requires 3 profitable days and you have only completed 1 profitable day, open positions with unrealized profit will not be counted as additional profitable days.

However, if all other requirements have already been met and you only need one more minimum profitable day, an open position that satisfies the profitable day requirement will count toward that requirement and help qualify the account for promotion to the next phase.
